Get out there, explore England and pitch at some of the country's most exciting sites with Cool Caravanning – we have three copies to give away

Hands up if you'd love to spend the summer (and autumn, and winter...!) discovering some of England's best campsites.

Well, we might be able to help by doing some of your homework for you.

We have three copies of Cool Caravanning to give away. This is a guide to must-visit campsites in England that offer something that little bit more special – and it's been written by Practical Caravan's very own contributor Caroline Mills.

First published in 2010, this updated edition includes site recommendations, and also shares ideas of things to do and local eateries.

A word with the author

"There's no doubt that I am at my happiest when touring," Caroline tells us. "Whether for work or spending time with family, I can feel the endorphins rise even when I am just planning the next trip away – and even more so if it’s a spur-of-the-moment outing.

"One of my very first camping trips (other than a tent in the garden!) was in a caravan," she adds. "I can’t remember the make or model, but I do recall having to use a foot-pump in the floor to obtain water through the tap and sleeping on a bunk bed attached half-way up the wall!

"With a lifetime of camping and caravanning, contributing destination and touring content to Practical Caravan for more than 10 years and in my wider capacity as a travel writer, I have visited, pitched at and reviewed hundreds of campsites over the years."

So what makes the sites listed in this book worthy of praise? It's not about box-ticking or fancy websites, Caroline is keen to assure us.

"The sites I have selected to appear in Cool Caravanning are places that can offer something special. That might be a breathtaking view, glorious countryside, or maybe an ethical, environmental or friendly ethos that just feels right.

"England is a wonderful place for caravan holidays," says Caroline. "It has some of the most scenic countryside in the world, whether it's the ruggedness of the Cumbrian fells, the 'industrial' prettiness of a Cornish fishing village and harbour, the charm of the Cotswolds or the magnificence of the Dales.

"I hope that Cool Caravanning inspires readers of Practical Caravan to hitch up and get out there, to explore more and visit these truly special places."

So to find your new favourite campsite and to be in with a chance of winning a copy of Cool Caravanning, simply fill in the form below and hit 'submit' by 11.59pm on 9 August 2017.

Good luck!
