Touring with children in the East of England? Take a look at Waldegraves Holiday Park, a fantastic full-facility site that’s situated on picturesque Mersea Island.
Those with a tourer or tent are very welcome here, as are those who would prefer to rent one of the comfortable holiday caravans.
Everyone who chooses to stay at the park can make use of the tremendous range of facilities, which should keep each member of the family happy and occupied: there are live shows and entertainment to enjoy, in addition to four fishing lakes, a crazy-golf course, a boating lake and a ‘FootGolf’ facility.
Those on the touring or camping pitches, meanwhile, will appreciate the pair of spotless washrooms and shop.
Here’s what you said when voting for the Top 100 Sites Guide:
“What impressed me the most was the amount of things there are to do: the swimming pool, arcade, restaurant and the parks. I really enjoyed being so close to the beach – only a two-minute walk and you’re right there. The park was also very clean and tidy, which was nice!”
“This is a great site and we have been twice. The children loved the entertainment, the food was fabulous (we went half-board), and the caravan was well-maintained, as is the whole site. The staff are very friendly; we’re looking to go again this year.”
