What’s on?

First, Practical Caravan’s Group Editor Alastair Clements takes a look at the Sprite Quattro DD, a twin-axle six-berth that’s new for the 2017 touring season.

It may be an entry-level caravan, but there’s neat detailing throughout. The washroom also ticks all the boxes, the kitchen is well-specced and we think the twin-lounge layout will be great for families. See it for yourself in this week’s show.

Tune in and you’ll also see our Compass Capiro 530 review. This mid-range van is packed with kit, including an Al-Ko AKS hitch stabiliser and ATC stability control, a gas barbecue point, an external locker and alloy wheels.

Step inside and there’s a front lounge, a well-equipped nearside kitchen and a wide side dinette. That front lounge is bright and at night can provide two good-sized single beds, or made up to create a generous 6ft 6in-long double bed.

And don’t miss the Compass Capiro 530’s smart and rather roomy end washroom! Check it out on Practical Caravan TV between 13 and 19 March 2017, on Sky 212, Freesat 161 and live online.

Little and large

Next in our NEC show special, we meet the team behind Carapod, previously known as Pod Caravans.

Nigel from Carapod explains the reason behind the rebrand and the changes that have been made to this pint-sized caravan, both inside and out. There’s even a 6ft 3in double bed in there! Find out what else this 330kg van has in store.

Then after the break we’re reviewing a caravan that’s rather larger – it’s the new-for-2017 Adria Alpina 613UC Missouri.

It features a centre-side-washroom, rear-island-bed layout, plus an extremely comfortable U-shaped front lounge.

As you’d expect for a van that costs over £27,000, the kitchen is stylish and well-specced, although the washroom is a little tight.

But the huge island bed in a thoughtfully designed master bedroom surely won’t disappoint. Tune in this week to Practical Caravan TV and take a look for yourself.

Barefoot’s back!

Remember Barefoot? Now it’s time to meet The Naked Barefoot, a stripped-back version of the original that’s ready for buyers to make it their own.

It costs £14,995 and is ready for its owners to fit it out however they wish, whether that’s for commercial use or as a conventional touring caravan.

And last but by no means least, we review the Lunar Lexon 590, which has a rear island bed and a central washroom – and that washroom is very smartly finished.

The side kitchen is spacious and storage is great. However, space is a bit tight in both the front parallel lounge and that rear island bed. Is it a compromise too far?

Make your own mind up when you watch this week’s episode of Practical Caravan TV – we hope you enjoy the show.
