Dovercourt Holiday Park in Harwich, Essex will see a £2m investment by owners Park Holidays into the building of a luxury swimming pool to be ready for the 2021 season.
The group reports advanced bookings for 2021 are at ‘stratospheric levels’ and has made investments in leisure facilities across its 30+ parks in readiness for what it predicts to be a bumper year.
“Make no mistake, Britain will be the place to be on holiday in 2021, and we are going to be ready for it,” says Park Holidays UK director Tony Clish.
“Many of next year’s bookings are from families who took a staycation this year, and were amazed by how much more enjoyable it was than an overseas holiday.
Dovercourt is hoping the new pool will be open to guests from next March. Other facilities include a new entertainments venue kitted out with the latest showbiz technology.
Next year is likely to be the park’s busiest on record, says Park Holidays UK.
