Top Gear fans eager to pit their driving skills against The Stig in Gran Turismo 5 still have a couple of weeks to wait, but here’s something to sate appetites in the meantime — a video of the BBC programme’s Surrey test track stage has popped up on YouTube.
Due for release on 24th November, Gran Turismo 5 for the PS3 offers the usual vast array of cars at all price and performance ranges (both the Ford Ka and Bugatti Veyron are included), along with on- and off-road circuits from around the world.

Cars can raced around a number of city stages too (including London), but it’s the prospect of pelting around the test track at Dunsfold Airfield that holds the biggest appeal for Top Gear watchers.
Mastering the track from the comfort of the sofa will probably require a little more effort than expended by contestants in Top Gear’s ‘Stars in a Reasonably Priced Car’ slot, though. The 2.82km track is a figure-of-eight and you’ll be racing against other cars, so collision is an ever-present danger.
