We are looking to change our car and like the look of the Vauxhall Zafira. Is there anything you can tell us about whether they are they are suitable or not for towing? We have checked the weights and so on and they are fine for our caravan but we cannot find whether they tow well or not. We’d appreciate any feedback.

We towed with the Zafria at the Towcar Awards 2007 and it acquitted itself well. We described the model we tested – a 1.9CDTi as ‘ a strong performer with a flexible cabin’. Weights are the biggest issue, with smaller engined models having just a 1300kg max tow limit. 1500kg is the limit for the big diesel models.
