A NEW BUDGET sub-brand featuring models that don’t include a heater as standard is the big news at German company Hobby.

The Beachy range (pictured) is being manufactured on the same production line as conventional Hobby models, and the company says not including a heater, even as an optional extra, has helped to bring prices down.

The three models in the range all have an end kitchen and a walk-in wardrobe, where you can put an optional PortaPotti, but there is no formal washroom. Fabric-covered baskets and linen cushions extend the beach theme, while settee backrests double up as mattress toppers.

Other developments for 2022 include the upmarket Maxia, currently comprising two models – the 495UL with U-shaped seating up front, and the 660WQM.

The new Excellent Edition is a six-model range building on the existing Excellent and aimed at young families. Its Scandinavian-style interior makes much use of LEDs.
