Congratulations to Red Kite, a regular finalist in our Top 100 and, now, the Regional Winner for Wales in 2022. This family-run, adults-only touring park is located a mile from the charming market town of Llanidloes. It is set in 20 acres with nature ponds, hiking routes and dog-walks. The on-site coarse fishing pool is well stocked with carp to over 12lb, tench, bream and crucian carp. This is a pet-friendly park, too; you’ll find a special dog-walking area and a dog-wash – there’s even a pooches’ pond and a separate, fenced-off dog-training area.
Touring pitches are gravel hardstanding, accessed along Tarmac roadways and paths. Each Super Pitch is fully serviced with 16A electricity, fresh-water connection grey- and brown-water disposal, piped TV and free Wi-Fi. There’s a state-of-the-art facilities block with underfloor heating, private cubicles, a disabled wet room together with a launderette and washing-up room.
The site is a great base for exploring, not least, the Clywedog Reservoir, Hafren Forest and Elan Valley, or venture a little further afield to Snowdonia or the Brecon Beacons. There are beautiful walks nearby, along the River Clywedog and Severn Way. All in all, this is a wonderful location.
You say…
- A perfect site! Friendly, well-maintained, facilities are superb, along with breathtaking views, dog-walks are fantastic.
- Outstanding location. No detail is overlooked, each pitch is perfectly manicured, and spotlessly clean. There are lovely safe dog-walks, and a fishing lake.
- Excellent experience from start to finish. The site is beautiful and staff are helpful. The dog-walk is a dream.
