The 2011 Swift Challenger and Sterling Eccles models are set to make a splash this season.
These stunning mid-range tourers have been redesigned from the ground up and the results are stunning. A sleek GRP front panel dominates the looks. A flat roof ensures excellent headroom throughout while the roof ‘buttresses’ running along the outside edge prevents water running down the sidewalls.
Under the pretty skin there are plenty of practical modifications. Thicker sidewalls, rugged plastic side skirts and a strong bonded roof construction mean they are tough as well as pretty.
Interiors are stunningly well executed, boasting LED lighting, a new digital control panel and contrasting leather effect locker doors for kitchen units.
One optional extra that looks set to be very popular is the panoramic sun roof which comes as standard on Conqueror and Elite models. Prices are not yet set but Swift Group hopes to keep the cost under £500. Models with the roof window are designated ‘SR’
All models will make their first official appearance at the Lawns Caravan Extravagnaza in Cottingham in early September but the whole range will not be availble to view until the NEC Show
Prices are not yet confirmed although indications are that both ranges will start at around £15700.
Full details of models, prices and the first reviews appear in the November issue of Practical Caravan magazine.
