Adria has unveiled a little of what the new design Altea will look like when it is fully launched later this year.

The Slovenian manufacturer – who you can find out more about in our guide to the best caravan brands – updates one of its three mainstream caravan ranges every year, and this year is the turn of the entry level Altea.

The new look for Altea models sold in the UK includes an all-silver exterior with a considerably upgraded rear panel, a wide gas bottle storage locker at the front and alloy wheels.

Inside walls and ceiling are finished in Symalite, a composite material made from recycled materials which Adria says also saves weight. While the ceiling has been coated with polyurethane for a white finish, the walls have been left in raw Symalite which gives a felt effect.

You will also find real felt storage pockets that can be moved around, and a versatile set of trays connected to the tap in the kitchen for more storage.

The front settees in the new look are upholstered all the way to the floor for a more domestic look. You can still make the double bed from slats that pull out from the front panel and rest on metal struts you can position at the top of the front settee support.

The new Adria Altea will be available on three already existing layouts: Dart, Tyne and Avon.

Prices are still to be decided.
