BOOK NEXT YEAR’S camping trip now and you’ll get discounts. That’s the promise from the Camping and Caravanning Club, which is offering a price reduction on a number of its 110 Club Sites.

You do have to join the Club to qualify for the discounts. Members can book their 2014 camping trips from 8am on Thursday, 7 November, via the Club’s website.

Members will now find a price guide insert in the 2014 edition of the Club’s guide – Your Place in the Country – which makes it easier to compare prices than before. You can also check the latest deals on the C&CC website

WHAT’S THE DEAL?

For 2014, more than 35 sites have a lower price for adult Club members in high season, some 31 in mid-season and more than 55 in low season. More than 30 sites have a lower family price in mid-season and 20 in high season, such as Alton, the Star, which is more than £7 cheaper as well as Scarborough and West Runton – £4.50 cheaper.

The Club says it has also improved its online booking process and added better family deals. Children can stay for half the price of adults and over-60s get 25 per cent off from 1 January, 2014.

However, current members aged 55 to 60 can also still claim Age Concession and get discount in selected seasons by providing documentation of age and having their membership cards stamped at a Club Site before 21 July, 2014 or at the Spring Caravan & Camping Show at the NEC Birmingham (18-23 February, 2014).

The Club also has a new ‘Great Value’ stamp online to highlight its discounts.

Robert Louden MBE, the Club’s Director General, said: “We continue to operate in a highly competitive environment and that’s why we must adapt to the changing trading conditions – we can’t always rely on the weather despite a good summer this year!

“Flexibility of price and a fairer cancellation policy for all, together with a great digital experience, making it easier to search and book online, we believe are the essentials that will ensure that both members and non-members can enjoy the benefits of the Club Site network for many years to come.”

NEW CLUB SITE: LOCH NESS

Loch Ness Shores Club Site officially opened for business on July 12, and this new addition, together with its on-going network development programme, continue to strengthen the Club’s campsite portfolio.

“Members get cost-effective camping at prices they are happy with, while a busier site network allows the Club to reinvest more money back into better facilities and services for members. We believe this is an industry-leading change in delivering value to members, said Robert Louden.

He added, “These are exciting times for the Club and through our new pricing approach we hope to offer members fair value for money, increase occupancy and as a result build the community spirit on Club Sites.”
