Organisers of the Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show that was due to take place for the first time in Harrogate this year have postponed until September 2022 to ensure the safety of visitors.

The show, Britain’s biggest holiday home show, was due to move to the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate last year, where it planned to expand to take on motorhomes as well.

It had previously run for over 40 years with caravans and holiday homes only in the grounds of the University of Hull – and had acquired the moniker “The Lawns Show” as a result.

But that show had to be cancelled, and now show organiser the Hull and East Riding Caravan Manufacturers Association (HERCMA) says the show it had been planning for this September will also be cancelled. The next event is planned to take place in Harrogate from 2 to 4 September 2022 for the general public.

HERCMA chairman said, “Unfortunately, there remains too much uncertainty to commit to the event this year. We have therefore made this announcement at the earliest opportunity and also published the dates for next year. We’re now looking forward, with confidence, to the first event at our new venue in Harrogate in September 2022.”
