The Camping and Caravanning Club (C&CC) has said it has committed £1.4 million to carrying out upgrades to over 70% of its Club Sites across its network as part of its 2025/26 winter improvement project.
The best caravan sites will generally provide guests with excellent amenities on tour. In the case of the C&CC’s sites, a total of 110 improvements are being carried out, including either installing new or replacing existing fencing at a number of Club Sites, as well as adding new boilers so guests will have access to improved heating and hot water.
As well as this, bigger projects are being carried out across 15 sites. This includes adding new flooring to Moffat Club Site’s shower facilities, repairing the essential access roads at Chertsey, Normans Bay, Sandringham and Walton Club Sites, and adding new freshwater tanks at Loch Ness Shores, Lynton and St Neots Club Sites (see main image).
Other sites undergoing improvements include Derwentwater, Speyside, St Davids Club, Winchcombe and Windermere Club Sites, which are all having their infrastructure and storage facilities worked on.

Worcestershire’s Blackmore Club Site is in the process of having 212 solar panels installed over two buildings and will also offer better drainage, while Braithwate Village Club Site is having its self-catering lodges updated.
Sam Gibson, the Club’s Head of Network Performance, said: “We are upgrading more than 70% of Club Sites as part of our winter improvement project this year. A lot of work is taking place behind the scenes that will significantly improve our infrastructure.
“Throughout the summer, when campers were enjoying our amazing locations, we were busy planning upgrades to further improve our guest experience.
