If you’ve been planning to buy a sat nav recently, chances are you’ve decided to wait for the Prime Day sale to come along to see if it’s reduced. There are some amazing bargains to be had, but if you’re after a sat nav, my favourite offer I’ve seen so far is currently found on Halfords, where the Garmin Camper 795 is available with a huge £90 saving.

Garmin Camper 795 was £389.99 now £299.99
The sat nav was a winner at the Practical Caravan Awards 2024, where our judging panel (which I was a part of) loved how it makes the journey to the campsite an enjoyable part of the tour. This is achieved in a couple of ways. Firstly, it takes your tourer’s dimensions into account, offering warnings of any obstacles that may appear along the journey, as well as approaching Environmental Zones. As well as this, it has BirdsEye Satellite Imagery, which offers aerial views of the campsite, and can be connected to your smart phone so you can enjoy hands-free calls and get text alerts.
Then there’s the way it can morph into a tour guide, with Local Spots and Michelin Green Guide ensuring you miss none of the attractions in the area you’re exploring, with information shown on its 7-inch display. Its £90 saving brings it down to only £299.99 at Halfords currently.

TomTom Go Camper Max was £299.99 now £254.99
While the Garmin device may not be on offer at Amazon, that doesn’t mean there aren’t bargains to be had if you’re after a sat nav in the Prime Day sale. I’ve spotted the second generation TomTom Go Camper Max for only £254.99. The updated gadget has a 7-inch display and offers specific routing for your tourer, so your van’s dimensions are taken into account.
As well as that, there is a new ‘avoid LEZ’ feature, ideal if you want to avoid Low Emission Zones.
