Many of us will remember playing a game of rounders at school, and now, your caravan holiday could present the ideal opportunity to reconnect with the game.

With the popularity of staycations showing no signs of diminishing, caravan holidays have never been more in vogue.

Now, in a bid to inspire families to spend more time outdoors, The Camping and Caravanning Club has partnered with Rounders England to encourage people to pack a bat and play the game that was once a staple of the classic caravan holiday.

The collaboration has seen the creation and release of guides on how to play, alongside downloadable activity packs and promotions.

Rounders England CEO, Natalie Justice-Dearn, said: “I remember from when I was young as soon as a rounders game got up and running, everyone gravitated towards it and soon you would have everyone playing together”.

Michelle Jewell, Marketing Manager from The Camping and Caravanning Club, added: “We are passionate about people getting active outdoors and in the fresh air so we’ve teamed up with Rounders England to inspire holidaymakers to enjoy the sport while away this summer. Rounders is a fun and sociable game that will help reconnect people.”
