French towing manufacturer Skep was sharing its specialist 117 Swivel bike rack arm with potential UK customers at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show this week (17th to 22nd February).

Compatible with all tow balls (including swan neck) the Swivel Arm is suitable for a multitude of vehicles, including SUV tow cars, 4x4s, pickups, vans, trucks and motorhomes.

The key selling point is its ability to swivel to 117 degrees, completely freeing up access to the rear of the vehicle (tailgate or barn doors). So, you can have bikes on a rack and still access the rear of your vehicle without having to dismantle anything – great when touring.

It’s good for transporting bikes, a box, or skis and is compatible with all towbar bike racks (which need to be purchased separately). Load capacity is up to 80kg, including bikes and a bike rack, and should be enough for two electric bikes. The unit costs £945.

Caravanners on the hunt for accessories at the February NEC Show also got to browse the latest awnings from Dometic, including long-term options. There have also been a number of new tourers on display, including an eye-catching cylindrical caravan from Beauer, which can expand when pitched up.
