THE CARAVAN INDUSTRY toasted a successful Motorhome and Caravan Show at Birmingham’s NEC with sales performance that defied the gloom in the wider economic markets.

Straight after the show doors closed, manufacturers Coachman and Stealth were on Twitter celebrating while dealers and manufacturers alike were universal in their praise for the event. Elddis in particular were delighted with the show performance which commercial director Chris Whitham said was ‘the best he could remember’.

Show background

The Motorhome and Caravan Show ran from Tuesday 11 to Sunday 16 October and it differs from the regular autumn show as it was under new ownership for the first time. Rather than being in the hands of an exhibitions company, a new subsidiary of the National Caravan Council (NCC) formed to run a show on behalf of the industry. This was the first event arranged by the newly formed NCC Events.

The next NCC Events show is the all new Motorhome, Caravan and Camping show being held at Excel London, a purpose built exhibition venue in the Docklands area of East London. More details of MC&CS can be found here
