If you’re looking for a portable power bank with a large capacity that’s capable of charging gadgets up to 1000W, this is the one for you. I own one of these models (you can see my review of the Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 1000), and it’s improved many a tour, charging laptops and phones, and powering TVs and low-wattage kettles. It’s a weighty beast, at almost 10kg, but it looks smart and is very easy to use – it can be recharged via mains socket, 12V socket or via one or two Jackery solar panels (sold separately).

It also includes a great range of features, though: the digital display is clear and easy to read, and it’s reasonably light in weight, too, at 3.7kg. It’s on offer for 30% off during Amazon Prime Day, too, which makes it an even better buy.
