Welcome to a new year – and we’ve a brand new TV show for you. So don’t forget to tune in only on The Caravan Channel, on Sky 192, Freesat 402 and broadcast live online.

With a new season of touring spreading out before us, this is the time of year many caravanners choose to update their outfit. So if you’re starting to browse the caravans for sale pages, we’re here to help you shop with confidence to buy the best van for your caravan holidays. Watch our latest TV show as expert John Wickersham dispenses some used caravan buying advice. As well as general tips and warnings, he’s looking round a 2000 Swift Barnwell Archway, discussing what can and what can’t be changed, talking tyres and looking at the water heater, before taking a look inside. If you’re hoping to buy a used caravan, you won’t want to miss John’s top tips and words of wisdom, only in our new TV show.

Or perhaps you’re after a new caravan? Well, in our latest TV show we’ve also got a Sterling Eccles Sport 524 review with Practical Caravan’s Claudia Dowell. This range is the Swift Group‘s entry level line up and this Sterling caravan is priced at just over £18,000 OTR. Inside, there’s the traditional front lounge, mid dinette, end washroom layout, while chrome fittings and stylish upholstery mean that this four-berth feels anything other than entry level. Light floods in thanks to the panoramic rooflight and there are ample lights for night time reading and dining. The dinette converts into bunk beds, while the front lounge can become a double or two singles, plus the kitchen has excellent worktop space and storage, while there’s a large, well lit end washroom. Find out more by watching Practical Caravan’s Sterling Eccles Sport 524 review only on The Caravan Channel, live online, or on Freesat 402 or Sky 192.

If you’re in need of some inspiration for your caravan holidays in 2015, look no further, as our very own Emma Howcutt decides to visit Newcastle upon Tyne. She’s pitched her van at Forget Me Not Country Park, a short drive outside the village of Longhorsley, about a 20-minute drive north west of Morpeth in Northumberland. This campsite is open all year and during Emma’s off season visit it’s clear that this park is well cared for all year round, with a cosy washblock and tidy, well kept, spacious pitches – her hardstanding pitch has an electric hook-up and a water connection. A security barrier gives guests peace of mind and the staff were very helpful, whether you need a hand pitching your van or some advice about things to do in Northumberland. Tune in to our TV show on The Caravan Channel for more about this campsite.

Then join Emma as she takes in the sights. About a 40- to 50-minute drive away is the impressive Angel of the North, which is well worth taking time to see. It’s just outside Newcastle upon Tyne and the city itself is packed with striking architecture and history, including Grey’s Monument, not forgetting the bridges spanning the Tyne which are top attractions for many, and she heads to the Sage Gateshead. Find out more about the things to do in Newcastle in our TV show on Sky 192, Freesat 402 and live online.

And that’s not all. Our tow car expert David Motton is here with a Skoda Superb Estate review – and if space is the ultimate luxury then this car will not disappoint. In fact, Motty can’t think of another family car with so much rear seat space, plus the boot is cavernous. But what tow car ability does it have? On test is the Skoda Superb Estate 2.0 TDI 140 Elegance and you’ll be pleased to hear that it tows very well. Be sure to tune in for our expert’s definitive verdict, to find out if the Superb lives up to its name.
