This great little gadget scores over many other satellite finders by telling you when you’ve found the satellite you’re looking for. It comes pre-programmed with four main satellites you are likely to need, and updates will be available for download with the help of a PC and supplied USB cable. The finder connects between your dish and receiver, drawing its power from the latter.

A backlit LCD screen with a bar chart and arrows gives you a precise indication of where your dish is pointing relative to the satellite, and suggests which way to adjust things. With a compass (not supplied) and a little practice we found the desired satellite can be found very quickly, but you have to be serious about watching television to pay this much for a satellite finder.
