The Swift Sprite Exclusive Quattro MB is part of the new nine model Sprite Exclusive range from the Yorkshire-based manufacturer.

Swift signalled a move away from allowing individual dealers to have their own dealer special ranges last season, with the launch of the Challenger Exclusive, sold only through select dealerships. Now it continues that trend, with the Sprite Exclusives.

This has also given it the opportunity to expand its twin-axle Quattro range with a new model, which features an L-shaped front lounge, a side dinette and an intriguing rear bedroom beyond the transverse washroom. The best caravan will always offer a layout that provides comfort for all, as well as a good spec for the price – so how does the Quattro MB shape up? I went to take a look.

Pitch and set-up

The new Sprite looks the part, with alloys, strong branding and the signature charcoal panel extending over the gas bottle locker. Locker doors at the front nearside and rear offside give access to interior storage space, ideal for storing all of those caravan essentials.

Lounge in the Swift Sprite Exclusive Quattro MB

The ‘L’ shape of the front lounge has given Swift’s designers the opportunity to install a large, square window on the offside. You could easily while away a good hour or two admiring the view from here.

Although only the front three windows have curtains, all windows have cassette blinds and flyscreens, and cloth panels on the side windows make them feel bigger.

This caravan is a six-berth, but I reckon that six people sitting around this lounge could be a bit of a squeeze, especially as one would probably have to sit on the small banquette under the square window, which might not be comfortable for long.

The pedestal table is stored under the bed, so is a bit of a haul to get out. You may be better off having some people sit in the side dinette. This has a solid clip-on table and a large window, and is positioned next to the kitchen – perfect for breakfast.

Lighting in both areas is good, with a big sunroof up front and LEDs in its housing and under the lockers above the dinette. Sockets above the small sideboard are ideal for a TV (see: do you need a special TV for a caravan if you’re unsure what type to take on tour with you.. You’ll also find a wireless charging pad here – a new feature for Sprites.

Kitchen in the Swift Sprite Exclusive Quattro MB

There is an extension to the right of this side kitchen, but you don’t really need it because there is plenty of permanent workspace, and it slightly obstructs the door. There is the usual Swift set-up of two sockets above a curved shelf and a space large enough for a kettle and more.

Under the microwave is a four-burner dual-fuel hob, a separate oven and grill, and a slimline fridge – another new feature for Sprite this year.

Washroom in the Swift Sprite Exclusive Quattro MB

The central washroom, spread across the van, has a swing door at the front and a plastic concertina partition at the back. The nearside shower cubicle is a bit on the small side, but is clear of any intrusion from the wheel arch. There is no vent here, but it is well lit, and comes with a shelf with a retainer. When the shower is not in use, the concertina door can be fastened to the wall with a clip. There is a vent over the central section, where you’ll also find a towel hook.

The main offside washroom has another roof vent, and a built-in basin in front of a mirror lit by two LEDs, with a towel ring to the side.

Sleeping in the Swift Sprite Exclusive Quattro MB

The rear bedroom is this van’s most intriguing feature. In effect, this is a corner bed, but rotated 90° to run across the back, with another large window at the foot. It retains the cut-off corner, but that provides space in front of the dresser, which includes a socket for a hairdryer and a mirror (but no drawer). There is just one bedside shelf, at the base of the wardrobe, but it also comes with sockets.

Making sure everyone has a good night’s sleep is an important feature in the best 6 berth caravans. The L-shaped settee in the lounge can be made into a comfortable double bed very easily, without the need for any infills. If you sleep the right way around, you get to enjoy that big window, too.

The side dinette converts easily into a single bed, with a bunk folding out above.

Storage in the Swift Sprite Exclusive Quattro MB

There’s easy internal access to all areas below the settee in the lounge, and a handy cubbyhole under the banquette. Overhead lockers are fitted on each side and the sideboard has basket shelves. The dinette has three more overhead lockers and good access to the space under each seat. Together with the hanging wardrobe, four overhead lockers and a huge area under the bed, you won’t be short of storage space anywhere in this van.

The kitchen has two large overhead lockers, then below in the main unit, you have a big double cupboard under a spacious cutlery drawer, plus two pan lockers underneath the oven and the fridge.

As well as the shelf in the shower cubicle, there is open shelving in the washroom, and a large cupboard under the handbasin.

Alternatives to consider

The 2024 Adria Adora 623DT Sava comes with a thoughtful design and features a big washroom and a homely lounge, even if storage is a bit cramped. The Bailey Pegasus Grande GT75 Amalfi is another six-berth that could be worth considering – the 2024 tourer is part of the manufacturer’s 75th-anniversary range and provides comfort for the whole family.
