Stonehenge Campsite was our Top Site for Camping in 2016, and it continued to attract a large number of votes for our 2017 Top 100 Sites Guide, including many from those with a motorhome or caravan, too.

It’s an attractively landscaped site in a semi-woodland setting, and is ideal if you’re planning to visit Stonehenge and the area’s many other attractions, including Cranborne Chase, Longleat House, Shaftesbury and Salisbury.

The touring pitches here have 16V electric hook-up, and there’s even one pitch that’s big enough for a large RV. Amenities include a new reception office, sparkling and heated washrooms, a campers’ kitchen and more.

Here’s what you said when voting for the Top 100 Sites Guide:

“The campsite is very clean and the wardens are very helpful. We come every year for the Summer Solstice festival and would not stay anywhere else. The site has great facilities and fantastic energy – everyone is so nice – plus you can sit and have a beer and watch the horses. I love this place.”

“We loved the friendliness of the site managers and the cleanliness throughout, plus the relaxed feel to the site. The hardstanding pitches and the glamping pods are not set out in ‘lines’, so you feel that you have your own space and privacy.”
