Practical Motorhome editor Sarah Wakely has taken on the role of Editor-in-Chief of Future PLC’s Outdoor Leisure group of titles, with immediate effect, it was announced today.

She will assume responsibility for all content created across Future’s Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome print and digital products, including both highly respected monthly magazines, their websites and the popular YouTube and Info TV channels, Practical Motorhome TV and Practical Caravan TV.

Following Niall Hampton’s move to become Editor of Future’s Digital Camera magazine, Sarah will be appointing an Editor on Practical Caravan in the coming weeks, and will continue to edit Practical Motorhome herself.

Sarah joined Practical Motorhome magazine in 2006 as Deputy Editor, before taking on the role of Managing Editor of both Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome. She became editor of Practical Motorhome in 2017.

Sarah said: “I’ve loved the outdoor lifestyle since taking family caravan trips as a small child, so I’m delighted to be able to further extend my involvement in the industry with this new position. I’m looking forward to taking on the challenges and opportunities that this will bring, in what is a hugely exciting time for both the caravan and motorhome industries.”
