What’s in this week’s show?

We kick off our brand-new series with a brand-new tourer – step forward the Elddis Affinity 574.

Practical Caravan’s Editor Niall Hampton is your guide around this revised-for-2018 four-berth.

An out-and-out van for touring twosomes, with fixed twin-single beds, the 2018-season Elddis Affinity 574 has had one major change since its appearance in last year’s line-up.

To find out what this is – and to see the van for yourself! – be sure to tune in to this week’s Practical Caravan TV show.

What tow car ability does the VW Tiguan have?

Next, our tow car expert David Motton is back – and he’s behind the wheel of the new Volkswagen Tiguan.

On test is a 2.0-litre TDI 190PS R-Line model with a DSG transmission and there can be no arguments about its towing abilities.

The engine is gutsy and powerful, and when hitched up to a twin-axle tourer, it’s composed and remains in control of the van, even when pushed.

It also has a high-spec cabin, while rear legroom and boot space impressed, too. Watch our review in this week’s Practical Caravan TV show and find out more.

The caravan of your dreams?

After the break, we return with a legend: Airstream.

This Brit-focused model, the baby of the range, being distributed here in the UK by Swift Group, is the Airstream Missouri.

Its exterior will be familiar to many – caravanners and non-caravanners like! – so join us on Practical Caravan TV to step inside this head-turning van for yourself.

Yes, it’s heavy and, yes, it’s not cheap. But does that matter when you’re pitched in an icon?

Finally, we’re hitting the road to visit Dorset and check out South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Park, which was the overall winner in our very own Top 100 Sites Guide 2017.

It’s a family-run site – and they’ve thought of everything! There’s a new outdoor playground for kids and an indoor games room, a dog-walking area, bike hire and top-spec amenities.

So don’t miss Practical Caravan TV on Sky 212, Freesat 161 and online via our live stream – we hope you enjoy this week’s episode!
