Silver Sands Holiday Park

The best caravan park in Cornwall overall

Silver Sands is a regular in our Top 100 Sites Guides and has been operating for nearly 80 years. Impressively, the site has taken the Regional Winner’s title in Cornwall for four years in a row now, a highly notable achievement.

Sitting in the stunning Lizard Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Silver Sands is a nine-acre campsite which offers spacious pitches, static caravans and lodges.

The site works hard to help the natural world, aiming to improve the biodiversity on-site with plantings, as well as promoting activities which do not require cars, including the option of hiring electric bikes from reception. There is also a bus stop which is only 10 minutes walk away.

Those who opt for touring and camping pitches are allowed small campfires. Other facilities include an onside laundrette, EV charging and three play areas, while canine touring companions go for free in October. Achieving internet in a caravan will be made easier by the free Wi-Fi which is provided too.

There will be plenty to see in the area as well – for instance, guests can set off on the 1km walk to Kennack Sands or explore the delights of the South West Coast Path. Alternatively, Kynance Cove, Helford River, Porthleven and Falmouth can all be visited.

Eden Valley Caravan Park

Caravanners who want a tranquil setting could find Eden Valley Holiday Park a tempting choice. The Cornish site has been adults-only since 2024, although the lodges are family-friendly.

From the campsite, guests will find themselves perfectly positioned to explore both the north and the south coast of Cornwall. The campsite works hard on its environmental efforts too, which have seen it secure numerous David Bellamy Gold Conservation Awards over the years.

The dog-friendly site provides an exercise paddock for any four-legged touring companions, with other facilities including a large amenities block, an indoor games room, a wildlife room and a laundrette.
