A big congratulations to Silver Sands Holiday Park, a campsite which has now been voted the Regional Winner and the best site in Cornwall for an impressive five years in a row by our readers following its latest triumph in the Top 100 Sites Guide 2026.
Silver Sands sits on the Lizard Peninsula in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and can be found in nine acres of picturesque countryside.
The campsite is dog-friendly and also has a play area for younger members of the touring party, which includes a sand pit, a wooden play area and a grassy space.

Other amenities include spacious pitches, EV charging, picnic tables and a laundrette, while Silver Sands has updated its shower and toilet facilities for the 2026 touring season.
There will be plenty to explore in the surrounding area, including Kennack Sands, which is only 10 minutes away and reached via a woodland walk. Enjoy a coastal wander as you explore the breathtaking Lizard Point, relax by the peaceful Helford River, or see the beauty of Kynance Cove. Alternatively, drive to popular destinations such as Penzance, St Ives or Perranporth.

This tranquil three-acre site sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty by the quaint fishing village of Polruan. The site itself has won numerous David Bellamy Gold Conservation Awards over the years.
Look out for the nesting boxes and feeders dotted around. Pitches – many with sea views – are spread across three fields. Site amenities include a laundry room, free Wi-Fi, a play area, an information room and a library with a relaxing view.

Sitting near Mevagissey, this relaxed 12-acre site provides spacious pitches separated by hedging and shrubs.
Tregarton is well situated for exploring popular attractions such as The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project, while a number of beaches are also in the area. Facilities include a well-maintained toilet and shower block, a tennis court, an adventure playground, a shop and an outdoor heated pool. And a dedicated dog wash has been added for 2026.
Joining the existing café this year is a second one, which is dog-friendly. Waiter service is available for poolside guests.

Covering around 12 acres, Trethem Mill is an adults-only caravan site that is situated on the stunning Roseland Peninsula. The site lets you recharge in a tranquil setting and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area.
The site’s spacious pitches come with 16-amp electric hookup and a picnic table, with the majority individually hedged. Amenities at Trethem Mill include a three-acre dog walk, a licensed shop, modern facilities, free Wi-Fi, EV charging – and even an outdoor chessboard.

Caravanners who want a tranquil setting could find Eden Valley Holiday Park a tempting choice. The Cornish site has been adults-only since 2024, although the lodges are family-friendly.
From the campsite, guests will find themselves perfectly positioned to explore both the north and the south coast of Cornwall. The campsite works hard on its environmental efforts too, which have seen it secure numerous David Bellamy Gold Conservation Awards over the years.
The dog-friendly site provides an exercise paddock for any four-legged touring companions, with other facilities including a large amenities block, an indoor games room, a wildlife room and a laundrette.

Guests can stroll into nearby Chacewater village – less than a mile away, it has a fish and chip shop, a post office and a pub. Alternatively, head to Truro, St Ives or Newquay.

Tucked away in woodland in the picturesque Tolskithy Valley between St Agnes and St Ives, Tehidy provides a tranquil base for exploring Cornwall.
The carbon-neutral campsite works very hard to support the environment, with wildflowers, hedging and an orchard. It has won Green Tourism and David Bellamy Conservation Awards. Mature plantings separate many of the pitches, with Wi-Fi provided throughout.
Facilities include a shop stocking local produce, a games room, EV charging and a play area. The sandy beach at Portreath is nearby; alternatively, head for Porthtowan or Truro.
