A good cover for your tourer is a worthwhile buy, protecting it from the elements, as well as other damaging external factors, such as bird droppings, UV rays and tree sap. If you’re looking for one, the good news is I’ve seen two of the products that made our shortlist for the best caravan cover at the Practical Caravan Awards 2024 are currently on offer over Amazon Prime Day (10th-11th October).

The first one I’ve spotted is the Maypole Caravan Cover – it comes in a variety of sizes, but for those of you with a small tourer of up to 14ft, or a caravan that’s between 19-21ft, you can currently save 15% on it, bringing the price down to £78.52 and £107.16 respectively.
I’m a fan of what you get for the price. For instance, it’s easy to fit onto your tourer, and I like the roll-up section, allowing simple access to your van if you need to get in. Then there’s the breathable and hardwearing four-ply material, which helps to keep water ingress, mould and algae firmly at bay. With a 1000mm-hydrostatic pressure waterproofing, it also offers UV protection, and even comes with a separate hitch cover.
The other Maypole product I’ve spotted is a cover for the top of your tourer, the Maypole Top Cover, an option I’d recommend if your tourer’s left under a tree and you still want to be able to access its interior. Like the cover above, it’s available in a number of sizes, but this time, you can save 15% on a range of sizes, from up to 4.1m to 6.2-6.8m.
It’s only 3.14kg and provides 1500mm of hydrostatic water resistance, as well as UV protection, amongst other features.
