Love touring France? Find out why we think “the Île de Ré brings some of the best that France has to offer into a single stunning destination” in our latest issue.
Follow in our tyre tracks as we tow a Swift Challenger 635 to this tiny island where donkeys wear culottes, the hand of Fatima prevails, and salt and oysters are big business. Try something different next time you visit France!
Or if you’d rather stay in the UK, this month we’re off to Shropshire for a walking holiday, spend a weekend in North Yorkshire and see what Lanarkshire has to offer. It’s all in the May 2017 issue of Practical Caravan, on sale now.
Xplore, Knaus, Swift and Caravelair reviews
We’ve also got a quartet of caravan reviews in our latest issue to tempt a wide variety of buyers.
How about a slice of lightweight luxury with the Xplore 554? This four-berth from the Explorer Group’s budget brand offers an end-washroom, transverse-island-bed layout with more than a dash of style, not to mention a £15,599 price tag.
We also review the Swift Challenger 645 in our May magazine. It’s a spacious, twin-axle four-berth with a great end-washroom. Does it tick all our boxes?
For something a bit different, we have also reviewed the two-berth Knaus StarClass 480, the smallest new caravan in the German manufacturer’s most conventional, UK-biased range. It offers an ample 205kg payload and the washroom is an impressive size, but could you live with the dark décor?
Live your tow car dreams!
In the market for a new tow car? We’ve a trio of contenders for you to consider in our May 2017 magazine.
First, we hitch up and go for a drive in the new Volvo V90. We’re testing the 232bhp 2.0-litre turbodiesel variant which has a kerbweight of 1817kg. Find out what tow car ability it has as we put it through its paces.
Also on test, it’s the Ford Edge, the Blue Oval’s biggest SUV. It has a healthy 1949kg kerbweight and proved to be a stable tow car, but how does it stack up against formidable opposition? Read our expert’s verdict from page 104.
And did you never think you’d be able to get the tow car of your dreams? Well, if that dream car is a 2002-2012 Range Rover, you might now be pleasantly surprised! Turn to page 106 for our used buying guide.
Of course, we’ve also got all our usual features for you, such as used caravan buying advice, technical insight, the latest travel news and some natty new accessories – plus we put 10 wireless reversing cameras to the test!
Get all of this and much more in the May 2017 edition of Practical Caravan magazine – on sale now!
