The Swift Conqueror and Sterling Elite ranges have undergone a radical makeover for 2011.
The sleek new bodyshell is the most obvious change. The bold front end hides a stunning roof window that gives fabulous vision from inside and floods the interior in natural light. The silver sides are retained from 2010 but with bold new graphics and a sleek low-profile awning rail.
Under the skin there are loads of practical modifications. Thicker sidewalls, rugged plastic side skirts and a strong bonded roof construction mean they are tough. Swift claims it has introduced aspects of construction tried and tested on the Bolero motorhome range, making extensive use of automotive-style plastic mouldings to make a stunning package.
There are five floorplans, three are single axle and two are twin axles. The 480 / Diamond and 530 / Emerald layouts are carried over. 570 / Amber model is a nearside fixed bed rear washroom model, the 630 / Searcher layout has been made more open plan and the 645 / Explorer now sports a transverse island bed and rear washroom.
All models will make their first official appearance at the Lawns Caravan Extravagnaza in Cottingham in early September.
Prices are not yet confirmed although indications are that both ranges will start at around £17500.
Full details of models, prices and the first reviews appear in the November issue of Practical Caravan magazine.
