National Trust properties in need of a makeover have a chance to win restoration funding in a new competition.

Meaty-drink Bovril has donated £100000 of funding to the National Trust, to put toward the restoration of one of 79 UK projects. It’s part of the Great Outdoors Revival campaign, which helps restore special outdoor areas across the country with a well deserved makeover.

The decision is entirely down to public vote, so if you want to have a say, visit the Bovril Great Outdoors Revival website. With your help, a special National Trust place you love could receive a much needed boost. From pathways to parks, fields to forests and campsites to coastline, there are plenty of worthy sites that need your vote.

“We’re hugely grateful to receive the £100,000 donation”, comments Elin Horgan, Head of Corporate Partnerships at the National Trust. “There are sites up and down the country that are in need of an extra special boost, so the funding will help refresh and reinvigorate chosen National Trust sites for the public to continue to enjoy”.

Voting for the project begins on Monday 27th September and closes on 31st December. Winners will be announced in January 2011.
