Discover more about the new 2015 Lunar Lexon 590 with Practical Caravan’s Claudia Dowell on TV. It’s a standout model due to having a midships washroom rather than an end washroom and inside, this £19,499 four-berth caravan is spacious and welcoming. There’s also a well equipped washroom, featuring a dual fuel hob, a separate oven and grill, a microwave and a fridge. When it’s bedtime, the front lounge converts into an almost 7ft long double. However this caravan’s star attraction is its end bedroom with twin single beds that are around 6ft long and have good storage beneath them. Indeed, throughout this van, storage is excellent. Find out more by watching our 2015 Lunar Lexon 590 review, only on The Caravan Channel.

Then it is time for more expert caravan advice from John Wickersham. In this episode of our TV show he’s addressing the issue of scratches on your tourer’s windows. Of course, you can pay a dealer to do the work for you, but if you’d rather have a go yourself, be sure to tune in as John takes you through exactly how to do this. It’s the perfect, step-by-step guide to help you get the job done yourself.

Next, we’ve another caravan review. Practical Caravan’s Group Editor Alastair Clements is taking a look around the 2015 Coachman Laser 650/4, a twin-axle, four-berth caravan that might make a good van for a seasonal pitch. It borrows its layout from the world of motorhomes, with a spacious washroom in the middle and an in-line island bed at the rear, which is over 6ft long. There’s even somewhere to put your TV at the end of the bed, so you never need to miss an episode of our TV show on The Caravan Channel, even when you’re on tour!

Time for a break? Visit Pembrokeshire with Practical Caravan’s Bryony Symes, who’s on tour there. She heads to Folly Farm, where there’s a zoo, a farm and a vintage funfair which includes some beautiful rides from the 1920s – which is also a great place to avoid the rain. She also gets to feed giraffes and lions, and meets the zookeepers.

Back at Antshill Caravan Park, Bryony shows us round the site she chose for her break in Wales. The pitches are large with electric hook-ups. The amenities block is new and as well as having toilets, basins and showers, there’s a washroom for disabled guests, an indoor dishwashing area and a laundrette. There’s lots going on here too, with entertainment in the high season, plus a play area for the children.

And Bryony’s not done there. She visits Laugharne Castle, which sits on the River Tâf estuary and enjoys the castle’s remains and the beautiful gardens. She also explores the town of Laugharne, famous for its connections with Dylan Thomas, before heading to nearby Manorbier, which also boasts a spectacular, more intact castle plus a desolate beach.

Our tow car expert David Motton’s test is next – and this time he’s putting a Peugeot 308 SW BlueHDi 150 Allure through its paces. Its low kerbweight (just 1390kg including 75kg for the driver) aids its economy, but isn’t great news when choosing a caravan, because if you adhere to the 85% rule, that means an 1182kg maximum. Nevertheless, Motty’s impressed by this car, both when towing and during solo driving. Be sure to tune in to watch our TV show on The Caravan Channel for his full Peugeot 308 SW review – tune in on Sky 192 or Freesat 402, or watch live online.

Finally, Alastair is back with a second new caravan review, the 2015 Xplore 526. Priced from £14,999 and with the ability to sleep six, it’s an affordable van for large families. A great feature is the large dinette at the rear, which can be screened off from the rest of the van, adjacent to which are two, good sized bunk beds. In fact, you can turn the dinette into two further bunks.
