Verdict
The Adria Adora Isonzo 613DT Platinum Collection offers a spacious transverse-fixed-bed layout and you’re unlikely to feel hemmed in.
It has plenty of floor space, with a comfortable front lounge, and you can walk around the rear transverse bed easily – we also like the split mattress, which makes access to the under-bed space simple.
Some extra worktop, more sockets and a TV aerial would have been a bonus, but it has been improved by the tweaks for 2017, and the kit levels and space are superb for the price.

The Adria brand is the UK’s best-selling imported range of caravans. The firm’s tourers have a loyal British fanbase, but the company wants to poach more sales from its competitors.
The Adora line-up is Adria’s mid-market range but it has some stiff opposition, so the firm has made some changes for the 2017 season.
Here we’re looking at the new Isonzo 613DT Platinum Collection. It’s a model that was introduced last year as the Silver Collection special edition to mark Adria’s 50th birthday, but sold so well that it’s now a permanent fixture.

Pitching & Setting-up
The Adria Adora Isonzo 613DT rides on an Al-Ko chassis with an AKS hitch stabiliser, although no ATC is fitted.
Alloy wheels and a gas barbecue point are both standard-fit, though, along with two external lockers, Alde wet central heating and silver external detailing.
This Adria also comes with triple front windows, a sunroof, an awning light plus a glazed door. Tough polyester sidewalls make for a durable tourer, but there’s no TV aerial as standard (it’s on the options list).
The Isonzo should be easy to set up, though, with quick-wind-down heavy-duty corner steadies and large grabhandles.
Living
This caravan is 8ft wide, so as you might expect the lounge is spacious, with plenty of natural light aided by the modern looks and the large skylight above, which opens and is one of the best designs on the market.
Wraparound seating is the format, in true Continental style. There’s also a fold-up coffee table above the window seat.
A CD/radio isn’t fitted as standard, but speakers under the roof lockers are all wired ready. Under-seat storage is good, but there aren’t any access flaps.
There’s a couple of reading lamps – though we’d prefer to find one in each corner. There’s overhead locker lighting and the skylight above the lounge also has integral LEDs, so night-time illumination should be first-rate.
Seating isn’t the thickest and could do with extra support – there is a chance that the seats may lose their comfort over time. However, there are four scatter cushions.
The 613DT has an Alde system, so heating is fed all around the interior, providing warmth into the lounge.
Kitchen
The Isonzo’s kitchen is a delight, with characteristics common to other Adria caravans, although there’s room for improvement.
Storage is a strong point and you have plenty of space for pans. The kitchen is also relatively well equipped, with Adria’s exclusive stainless-steel combined sink and three-burner hob. But we’d expect four burners and ideally a dual-fuel unit at this price.
The worktop area isn’t overly impressive. We feel the designers could have added a fold-up extension flap to provide more food preparation space.
However, the Isonzo has a smart light-up splashback and LED strip-lighting, which provides plenty of evening illumination.
A Thetford oven and separate grill with spark ignition is fitted, now at a sensible height, and the excellent Thetford slimline fridge provides good food storage. There’s a microwave above the fridge, but it’s a tad too high to use comfortably.
Overall the 613DT’s kitchen works well, with excellent storage, but more worktop availability and a dual-fuel hob would have been the icing on the cake.
Washroom
This caravan has a full-width end washroom, with access via a sliding door. It’s not the widest of rooms, though, and the floor area is a little restricted.
There is a frosted window, an electric-flush Thetford cassette loo and a transparent bowl sink. A large mirror is placed just above the basin, with integral LED lighting overhead.
The shower cubicle is fit for purpose but doesn’t have a moulded one-piece liner – again, something we’d expect on a tourer of this price. The shower has folding doors and a roof vent, plus a rail for hanging wet towels.
Overall, then, the washroom is decent, but another inch or so on the depth would have made a real difference.
Beds
The 2017 Adria Adora Isonzo 613DT Platinum Collection sleeps four with ease.
The front converts into a huge double bed by pulling out the seat-base extensions then rearranging the sofa cushions.
The rear bedroom comes with a comfortable, very large island double bed with a split mattress – you don’t have to lift up the whole mattress to gain access to the bed base.
Unusually for a transverse-island-bed caravan, the Isonzo has windows on both sides instead of a headboard, so this area feels very bright.
Storage
The front overhead side lockers offer good storage for most items, while the side wardrobe just by the entrance door comes with drawers (at the bed side) as well as some superb shelves and hanging space.
Next to the wardrobe is the freestanding table storage, which proved difficult to get out on the prototype. A small shelf by the entrance door also has power points plus a fold-out TV stand.
The kitchen is a good example of how storage can be created with deep drawers and a neat, slim, slide-out basket, plus overhead lockers.
The Adria’s rear bedroom has more storage overhead and under the bed, and there are small drawer units on either side of the bed.
Meanwhile, the washroom has side cupboards by the mirror and a cupboard beneath the hand basin.
