Amazing views and acres of space mark this out as one of the north Lakes’ greatest campsites. It’s also perfectly located for dog-lovers who want to walk on-site, with two dedicated dog-walking areas, or those who prefer exploring further afield.

Alternatively, take a short drive over to Whinlatter Forest Park (CA12 5TW), a few minutes west on the B5292. After a muddy walk, you can rinse off your hound in the campsite’s dedicated dog-shower.

This lovely campsite is ideally located for exploring Kent, just 40 minutes from Dover (a pre-ferry stop-over?). Dogs are welcome on nearby beaches, including The Warren Beach near Folkestone, and Greatstone and Littlestone Beaches near New Romney.

Couples might prefer the quiet Meadows section of the site, but all of the pitches are closer to the excellent, heated facilities. Two dogs are allowed per pitch.
