Welcome to another week on Practical Caravan TV! And in our latest episode, we kick things off with a diminutive Bailey caravan – it’s small, but is it perfectly formed?

Meet the new Pursuit 400-2, Bailey’s entry-level two-berth that’s priced from less than £15,000. It’s under 5.5m long, but just look what it manages to pack in.

Alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a three-burner gas hob, a combined oven/grill and a microwave all feature. And while the kitchen is a little tight, the lounge is roomy, the washroom impressive and storage is great.

Take a look for yourself this week on Practical Caravan TV! Here’s when to watch:

  • Monday 20 March at 8pm;
  • Wednesday 22 March at 6pm;

Volvo V90 tow car review

Also in this week’s show, we put the Volvo V90 to the test, to find out what tow car ability it has. We’re driving the D5 all-wheel drive automatic which has a kerbweight of 1817kg.

No matter how hard we pushed the Volvo, it remained in control of the caravan, never short of grip despite our test taking place in the wet.

The V90 also proved itself to be powerful and efficient, with a spacious, high-quality cabin. If you want a premium, practical estate as your next tow car, be sure to check it out!

Then, Practical Caravan’s Group Editor Alastair Clements returns with another caravan review – this time it is the Coachman Pastiche 520.

It has been revised for the 2017 touring season and features an end-washroom, a front lounge that makes up into a double bed, and a side dinette which can be converted into bunks.

We think cooks will like the good-sized kitchen and the updated washroom is undoubtedly this van’s star feature. Watch Practical Caravan TV on Freesat 161, Sky 212 or live online to take a look yourself.

Hit the road!

Come back after the break and join us in Cheshire, as we check out Aqueduct Marina Caravan Park near Nantwich.

This relatively new park has 14 hardstanding pitches, all of which have electric hook-up and running water, plus six have grey waste disposal points – all are extra-wide, too, so there’s space for your awning.

This dog-friendly site has modern, well-maintained facilities and also a café. See it this week in our TV show.

Tune in and you’ll get a second tow car test – step forward the Škoda Superb Estate. This 190PS diesel 4×4 version ticks most of the boxes on paper, but what’s it like in reality?

Immensely stable, that’s what. The Superb feels unshakeable at speed, and stayed in control of the caravan even during our most punishing tests.

Don’t miss this week’s episode of Practical Caravan TV to see how else this Škoda impressed us and what else it has to offer. As ever, we’re on Sky 212, Freesat 161 and live online.
