A six-berth with an end washroom has been added to the new Phoenix GT75 range from Bailey of Bristol, launched to mark the company’s 75th birthday.

The 762 model, the only twin-axle caravan in the range, effectively replaces the five-berth 650. As well as the end washroom, it features a pair of permanent bunks on the offside next to a single dinette on the offside that includes a pop-up sixth bunk.

The rest of the line-up stays the same as in the old Phoenix+ range. It includes the two-berth 420, three end washroom four-berths – the 440 with a rear corner bed, the 642 with fixed single beds, and the 644 with a transverse island bed – and the 640, a four-berth with an in-line island bed and a central washroom.

The new range has been made using Alu-Tech construction, and all models come with dove grey sides and polar white front and back.

Spec for the new range includes an Al-Ko stabiliser, Truma Combi heating, a 700W microwave, at least five mains sockets in each model and many USB ports including, in the case of the 762, on the lights in the bunk beds. You also get a Dometic 98-litre fridge.

For the first time Bailey, who you can find out about in our guide to the best caravan manufacturers, has decided to dispense with any kind of a radio. Instead you get a SONOS Bluetooth speaker.

Bailey’s designers have also gone to work on the Light Oak furniture to make divisions between living and cooking spaces more evident.

As a result, you get flat cupboards introduced in the kitchen area to distinguish them from the convex lockers elsewhere. These are contrasted with warm grey marble effect worktops.

For upholstery, you can choose between either standard Hatton or optional Amersham upholstery. The latter, an oatmeal colour with brown piping, is an Aquaclean fabric which should be easier to clean.

Prices range from £22,999 to £27,499. For continuing models that represents a price rise of between 2.04% and 2.68% on the old Phoenix+ range. MTPLM figures range from 1142kg to 1636kg.

Bailey managing director Nick Howard said: “Enhanced exterior and interior looks plus a new hi-tech media centre combine with accessible unladen weights and a competitive retail price to make Phoenix an extremely attractive proposition.”

Another brand to reveal its 2024 plans is Knaus, which is set to unveil a new all-electric caravan at the October NEC Show. As well as that, Coachman is revising two layouts for the new season too.
