Our Nigel Donnelly took to the stage at Manchester’s Caravan and Motorhome Show today, to interview TV legend John Craven.
Our Nigel chatted to the star of BBC’s Countryfile about the joys of exploring the Great British countryside.

“My favourite seaside location has to be Whitby,” said Craven. “I still love going back there to have fish and chips in the Magpie Café. My favourite rural place is Yorkshire Dales. I was born in Leeds, and when I was 11 I received a bike for passing my 11+. Me and my mates used to head out cycling into Wharfedale. Upper Wharfedale is still one of my favourite places in the world.”
They went on to discuss the times John has hired motorhomes in his line of work, the importance of tourism to the British countryside, and the perfect wellies.
