Police are calling for witnesses and warning caravanners to be extra vigilant after two luxury caravans were stolen from a farm in Devon at the start of this month.
The incident, which highlights the importance of good caravan security, saw the tourers stolen from a farm in Awliscombe in the early hours of the morning on Friday 3 July.
CCTV footage captured three vehicles arriving at the farm around 1.10am and leaving with the stolen caravans at around 2am.
They were seen heading towards Honiton on the A373 and through Dowell Street in Honiton, and possibly High Street as well.
One of the two caravans was subsequently intercepted by police at Dover. But the other – a Coachman Lusso II from 2025 – is still missing.
Devon and Cornwall Police is appealing for any information that could help in the search. It is also warning caravan owners in the local area to be extra vigilant.
PC Lily Orchard said, “We are appealing for people to be vigilant following the theft of the two caravans and due to multiple posts online of high-end caravan thefts in Devon and Cornwall, as well as the Avon and Somerset area. We would urge anyone with any information or who becomes the victim of theft in the local areas to report it to us.”
Possible deterrents caravanners could look into include the best caravan hitchlock and a wheel clamp, while van owners could also look into a caravan tracker,
