Visitors to the Coachman stand at the Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC this week (14th-19th October) are getting to see the UK’s first 8ft wide end washroom two berth caravan, the Laser 480 Xtra.
Fans of 8ft wide caravans are sure to appreciate the spacious and stylish front lounge, which is just one of the features in a tourer which offers plenty of space for the two of you.
The lounge comes with parallel settees, which can either be used as single beds for those under 6ft, or, alternatively, provides the versatility to create a large double bed by using slats.
A large “media wall” can also be found inside, which would be an ideal place for a TV to go. The caravan comes with a Bluetooth speaker system for the new season too, a feature which can also be seen in Lusso tourers.
That’s not all; at the rear of the tourer, a roomy end washroom is located, with a shower cubicle and a spacious wardrobe among the provided features.
There’s also a large L-shaped side kitchen, where a dual-fuel hob with an oven and grill, and a flatbed microwave are both provided.
With an overall length of 6.43m, the caravan has an MTPLM of 1550kg and a MiRO of 1425kg. Caravanners will be able to use a payload of 125kg too. The OTR price for the tourer starts from £38,640.
Visitors to the stand are also getting to see all of Coachman’s Lusso, Acadia, Laser and VIP ranges. Changes made to tourers include the VIP 545, which has reverted back to separate “Jack and Jill” doors in front of its rear island bed.
Another brand to be showcasing its 2026 tourers is Bailey. Vans on display include models from the Phoenix and Pegasus Black Edition line-ups.
