The Exclusive range was introduced this season as a sort of Sprite with bells on – models with extra goodies that are only sold by a select list of Swift dealers.

I’ve previously looked at what that meant for two standard Sprite models, the Swift Sprite Exclusive Quattro MB and the Sprite Exclusive Major 6 TD. But what will the Exclusive name tag offer in an 8ft-wide Sprite Grande? To find out, I went to Swift’s East Yorkshire factory to see the Sprite Grande Major 4 SB Exclusive.

Pitch and set-up

At 1600kg, this single-axle isn’t the heaviest you are likely to come across. The Exclusive badge gives it Al-Ko’s ATC as standard, so towing should be relatively straightforward, and it also comes with an Al-Ko AKS 3004 caravan stabiliser.

There are two external lockers on the nearside. All habitation services – the water inlet, cassette access and mains hook-up – are on the offside, away from any awning.

As an Exclusive, this model also comes fitted with an external barbecue point and mains socket, and a 120W solar panel.

Lounge in the Swift Sprite Grande Major 4 SB Exclusive

Thanks to the width, there’s a roomy front lounge here, something which can be an important trait in the best 4 berth caravans. While I thought there would definitely be room for four, I’m not so sure there would be space for more than that. A sunroof and a Heki help to bring in loads of daylight.

A shelf can be pulled out from the large central chest, which I thought would be great for snacks, and the foldaway table is only a step away, in its own slot to the right of the door.

You get a mains socket and a wireless charging pad (another Exclusive feature) in the front offside corner, and another mains socket in the nearside corner.

The TV sockets are to the right of the door – fairly standard – but when you’re choosing the best caravan TV for the Sprite Grande Major 4 SB Exclusive, it’s worth bearing in mind that it could only be a medium-sized screen, as there is a coat hook on this wall, too.

Vents from the Truma heating system will keep the entrance and the aisle pleasantly warm. Exclusive models also come with additional ambient lighting.

Kitchen in the Swift Sprite Grande Major 4 SB Exclusive

The large extension flap eats into the lounge a little, but you’ll probably need it, as there is only a bit of worktop on the unit around the large sink. There is room for a kettle, with two mains sockets close by.

The Swift's kitchen
Kitchen provides dual-fuel hob, separate oven and grill, and a flatbed microwave

You get a dual-fuel four-burner hob above a separate oven and grill, while next to the overhead lockers is a flatbed microwave. Across the aisle is a 142-litre slimline caravan fridge.

Washroom in the Swift Sprite Grande Major 4 SB Exclusive

I thought the end washroom felt wider than it is, thanks to the two rooflights. Neither is in the shower itself, although the cubicle is still well lit, with a concertina door, a marbled wall and a shelf for toiletries, but only one drainage hole.

The toilet and basin in the washroom
Two rooflights and a large mirror make the washroom feel even more spacious

The shallow handbasin is in front of a huge mirror with two spotlights, and there is a wall hook for dressing gowns just behind you.

Beds in the Swift Sprite Grande Major 4 SB Exclusive

I thought it was curious to see that the rear island bed didn’t roll back. Perhaps the designers thought it was unnecessary, because even with the bed at full stretch, there is ample space to reach the washroom, thanks to this van’s extra width.

But I suspect some people might like the idea of a day bed where you can sit up and relax. To get the same effect here, you’d probably have to bring along some of your own cushions from home to complement the (admittedly plush) headboard.

The island bed
Excellent lighting, and plenty of storage in wardrobes and cupboards around island bed

There are two individually switched spotlights in the underside of the locker, with two USBs in between. There are also small shelves between the wardrobes and cupboards on each side of the bed.

What’s really impressive is the dresser in the front corner. It comes with a mirror you can tilt to get really close up, and a hook for a dressing gown. Close to hand is a second set of sockets for a TV.

The settees in the front lounge are only long enough for smaller children to use as single beds. But the large double is put together with platforms – unusual in this part of the market. There is even a tie to make sure the platforms don’t start sliding apart during the night. You do need an infill cushion, however.

Storage in the Swift Sprite Grande Major 4 SB Exclusive

Both of the underseat areas have large internal access flaps, and if you need to use them, slats that will stay up if you take the backrest away, which could come in handy when you’re loading a caravan.

True, I did find the offside one fairly crowded with electrics and so on, but because you have bed platforms rather than roll-out slats, there is loads of room in the locker under the central chest, too.

The tilted bedroom mirror in the Swift

The kitchen unit houses a large drawer with a cutlery tray above a double shelved cupboard. With a locker under the oven and another below the fridge, you aren’t short of space for kitchenware, even if dry food storage is a little restricted because one of the two overhead lockers is almost completely taken up with a crockery rack.

Washroom storage includes one cupboard under the basin and another, next to open shelving, above the toilet.

Alternatives to consider

Coming with the popular end washroom and a transverse island bed arrangement, the Coachman Acadia 675 Xtra was our pick of the four-berths at the Practical Caravan Awards 2025, and it offers van owners a spacious design and a comfortable lounge area.

Alternatively, you could consider the Elddis Crusader Mistral – it’s a reliable, family-friendly four-berth which provides space, a thoughtfully designed lounge and plenty of storage.
