Colin and Sam Parker are the force behind this family-run site where you’re sure to receive a warm welcome: ‘You are not just another statistic, you are part of the family,’ claims the website.

There is a variety of touring pitches to choose from, with varying levels of features: the super pitches include privacy from hedging, electric-, water- and waste-disposal connections, as well as great views.

You’ll also find a shop, ironing facilities, a postbox, a battery-charging service and a bar/restaurant with an extensive menu. In addition there are 16 static caravans for hire; they are situated away from the main touring areas and sleep from two to eight occupants.

Here's what you said when voting for the Top 100 Sites Guide:

“The fantastic staff were really helpful and very friendly, the farm tour and tractor ride were brilliant, and the prices in the bar, restaurant and shop were very reasonable.”

“This is a lovely site for families with young children. Part of its charm is that it is not overdeveloped or commercialised. There were ducklings, chickens, pigs and alpacas. The restaurant, which serves excellent food, welcomes dogs – with an area set aside for dog owners to eat with their faithful friends. There is also a play and football area, and a dog-walk mapped out. There is a well-stocked shop and the staff are welcoming.”
