Callow Top is a fantastic and family-friendly holiday park located to the south of the popular Peak District National Park, so it’s ideal for those who enjoy walking or cycling. It’s close to the town of Ashbourne, too, with its attractive selection of restaurants, pubs and shops.

That’s supposing you’ll want to leave the site, because there’s a huge amount to do there – not least visit the heated outdoor pool, the amusement arcade, the games field, the play area, the pub/restaurant, and the peak-season entertainment at Arnold’s Café Bar.

Practical amenities include the trio of washrooms (20p charge for using the showers), a shop, a washing-up area and a cashpoint.

Here's what you said when voting for the Top 100 Sites Guide:

“From the moment that you book to arriving at the campsite you are made welcome. The site is perfectly maintained and the facilities make for an enjoyable stay, as do the lovely countryside and fantastic walks.”

“Booking in was quick and professional. Strict visitor rules mean the site never gets noisy. Great amenities.”

“Immaculate, with clean toilets and well-presented lawns. The staff have an excellent attitude. Both restaurants serve delicious food, there’s a great outdoor pool and the disco is incredible. Would like to go back every year. It’s the highest-standard site I have been to.”
