You can kick back and relax at Newberry Valley Park, a 60-acre site for tourers, motorhomes and tents, located on the stunning North Devon coast. While you’re there, you can drop a line into the two-acre coarse fishing lake; you can even take a soak in the tub, in the heated bathroom, or enjoy a pilates course! Tourist information is available, and there’s a facility for booking trips to Lundy Island, if that takes your fancy.
For a bit of glamping luxury, you can hire the two-berth Shepherd’s Hut: it’s fitted out with a barbecue, memory-foam mattress and an induction hob.
Here's what you said when voting for the Top 100 Sites Guide 2016:
“I really like the idea of the washrooms being individual spaces and catering for everyone. There is always a member of staff available should you need any help or information. Plus it is within walking distance for Combe Martin beach and surrounding walks, shops, pubs and restaurants – for us, a good location and a lovely site.”
“We had a large pitch providing some privacy on a well-thought-out site. It’s well maintained by helpful wardens and has beautiful, peaceful surroundings.”
“The facilities were superb, immaculate and very welcome after days of hiking. The tent pitch was flat (hurrah!). We enjoyed a soak in a hot bath, fantastic!”
